One more jumping photo! ? This is me at Kakku, a site with 2,478!! stupas (the “chandelier” topped buildings in the background). Local legend says it was started by Buddhist missionaries in the 3rd century BC. There was a huge storm rumored to have a tornado last year, so many of the stupas were damaged. They’re being quickly restored by donations from pilgrims. The “chandelier” at the top holds many bells so throughout Kakku, you can hear the quiet ringing of the bells.
