Sunset over Oia, Santorini

Santorini

This summer two good friends were getting married in Greece. When I found out, I thought “Yes! What a perfect excuse to make a Euro trip happen this year” I quickly began researching what I wanted to explore in Greece. There were so many options, it was difficult to narrow down my trip into the PTO days I had available. I ended up planning just about a week in Greece total, split across Athens, Zakynthos, and Santorini. My trip itinerary did not include Mykonos, I figured I will be back at some point in my life. Santorini was what I wanted to see most!

Happy is the man, I thought, who, before dying, has the good fortune to sail the Aegean sea. – Zorba the Greek

I spent my days wandering around all the villages, drinking lots of freddo cappuccinos and chatting with the cafe owners in the tiny amount of greek I studied prior to my trip. FYI “Euxaristo” pronounced “a-fairys-toe” means “thank you!”.
